Introducing Pointe Sarène

Pointe Sarène is a fishing village located on the coast of Senegal and is well-known for its sandy beaches. Pointe Sarène Beach stretches for almost 6 miles and you will be able to admire the typical fishermen's boats moored along the coast near the village. You can have a drink in one of the beachfront bars, or at the fancy hotel RIU, relax under the shade of the palm trees or taste the local food. Our property is located in the tourist area close to the city of M’bour in the region of Thiès, with an excellent connection to Blaise Diagne airport.

This town is known for its warm hospitality, and genuine local atmosphere. Nestled along the Atlantic Ocean, this hidden gem offers visitors a peaceful escape, ideal for those seeking sun, sea, and relaxation away from busier tourist spots. The soothing sounds of the waves and the gentle breeze create the perfect setting to unwind and enjoy nature at its best.

Discover the beautiful landscapes surrounded by mangroves and baobabs, with more than 2,500 hectares of forest where we can find all the area’s main ecosystems: forest, savanna, fresh water, sea water and coastal waves.

Best Time to Visit:

The ideal period to discover Pointe Sarène is during the dry season, from November to May. The weather is pleasantly warm with little rainfall, making it perfect for enjoying the beaches and outdoor activities. While the rainy season from June to October has its own unique beauty, some tours and excursions may be less available during these months.

Is it safe to swim at the beaches?

Yes, most of the local beaches are safe for swimming thanks to their gently sloping sands and calm waves. However, it’s always recommended to check with locals about sea conditions or areas with strong currents before diving in.

Any activities?

Many of our activities offer free cancellation, for stress-free planning or can be paid on-site. The property is set in the middle of a desert-like landscape with dry and wild surroundings, and offers all kinds of amenities and services.
